Unable to export DXF files in Illustrator

New Here ,
Aug 04, 2021 Aug 04, 2021

Hi! In the latest version of Illustrator, it seems that the “export” feature no longer exports .dxf files. I used this feature often and it was key to my work. Is it really gone or am I just not finding it?

Hi there,

Sorry about this trouble. Could you please share a few more details like:

  • Are you using an M1-based Mac machine?
  • OS and version of Illusrator

Thanks & Regards,

Anshul Saini

Hi. If you're working with a M1 machine, you don't have acces to .dfx export format but you can open illustrator using Rosetta: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211861

LATEST

It's in File > Export As and .DFX is the very first file type in the list. If you are not seeing it, I guess it has to do with your OS not supporting it? Shouldn't have anything to do with the version update made a few days ago, though.
