Unable to Launch Adobe Illustrator 2022 on Windows 10

CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IS MY ANSWER

I have run into this issue as well after updating to 26.0.2.

Windows 10, Windows Defender (no Trend antivirus), etc. Whether through shortcuts, the exe, or creative cloud, all methods launch illustrator into the background (no loading window or GUI at all, with very high CPU load).

The only thing that works for me is to launch illustrator with administrator rights (right click -> Run as Administrator).

Doing this, it loads absolutely fine. It looks like the app is trying to write files it doesn't have permission to on startup (which might also be what's triggering antivirus on it).

Sorry to hear about this trouble. This is has been reported by a few other users as well, and it was found due to the conflict with Trend Micro Antivirus.

Do you have this Anti-Virus installed on your machine? If yes, please make sure that Illustrator is added as an exception in the app settings. I hope it helps!

Hi, have you tried uninstalling Adobe Illustratr via Creative Cloud Cleaner tool? This will also delete any corrupt files. Once finished, install Adobe Illustrator again and see if the problem persists.
