Unable to launch/open Illustrator 25.3 on macOS Catalina 10.15.7

I can't open my Illustrator application since Thursday. I don't remember to have problems with it since i updated. I mention that i have macOS Catalina 10.15.7.

So, i asked for help at the Adobe Support. Somebody accessed my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled my app from the cloud. At the relunch Illustrator started to work.

Hi there,

 

Sorry to hear about your experience. Could you please share some more information like:

  • Exact Illustrator version?
  • Do you get any error while trying to launch the app?
  • Does Illustrator show up in Activity Monitor when you try to open it?
  • Have you tried resetting the preferences (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html)? If not, please try doing that.
    Disclaimer: Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

 

In addition to the suggestions shared above, I would recommend you to update your Mac machine to the latest macOS Big Sur & let us know how it goes?

Thank you for your response and suggestions!

So the Illustrator version that i use is v25 3.1. I don't have any other errors trying to launch the app. It just dose't open, and if i what to close it (not to run in the backgound) i have to do Force quit and it appears the window to send the report of force quti to Adobe. I can't reset the preferences because the app dosen't open anymore.

In Activity Monitor the app appears but its not respondig (this is the message)

As soon as i have the macOS Big Sur available i'll update to it.

I also tried to uninstall the app and reinstall it but no improve.

Hope to find a way to resolve this issue soon!

Hi Sardori,

have you tried a new installation of Adobe Illustrator? You could use Creative Cloud Cleaner tool to uninstall the software and do a deeper cleaning.

Hi, I just have the same problem.

Illustrator doesn't run. i tried to uninstall and install again the creative suite, but Illustrator doesn't run anyway.
