Unable to move objects with mouse in Illustrator 2020

i have been working through illustrator 2020 release and i am on lesson 5 and i can nolonger move objects. I have uninstalled illustrator and adobe cloud 5 times and still the same.  I was able to use move in version 23.1 (some objects inthe lesson were missing) but nothing after 24.1.  any suggestions.

    Hi, i got the same problem since a few days, everything's worked fine until it doesn't. I can't move anything with my pad or mouse; the selection just stopped working, i can still move things by using the keyboard arrows, tho. Did you find a solution ?

    Is Photoshop open as well and if so can you try and close it?

    Hello, I'm also facing the same issue for some days.[Link was removed by a moderator] everything is worked fine before it doesn't, I can not move anything with my mouse or pad: the selection working just stopped, I can still move things using by keyboard arrow buttons, I want a proper solution of this issue kindle to recommend me if did you find it.

      So whenyou create a new file and then draw a rectangle and then click and drag it with the cursor, it doesn't move?
