I'm unable to resize any objects or text box in any document. I'm using Illustrator CS3. Bounding box and edge are already turned on. Could anyone help me please?

As I've said, bounding box are already turned on.

It happens with any object or any text box in any document, even if I create a new document. I can't resize or rotate with the move tool (black arrow) and I also can't transform objects (moving only one line or one point..) with the direct selection tool (white arrow). The only thing I can do white these tools is select.

I have the latest version of illustrator, and i can't seem to scale an object using the black arrow, selecting an anchor point and dragging! It won't allow me to resize Ive tried everything... you use to be able to scale without having to go into object-transform-scale-etc. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Thanks

This shows and hides the artboard. Which resizing problem exactly do you want to solve with it?

Actually it could also be because one of your objects are not expanded.

Select each object and go to "Object" > Expand Appearance.

Resizing worked for me after this!

Not in 2009 and not now.

Expanding your objects should never be necessary in order to be able to scale them.

On top of that it's a bad idea, because making changes will be rather painful afterwards.

The bounding box solution did not work for me, but the "Expand" command did.

I hope that helps someone.
