Hello, I get an "unknown error message IABD" in Illustrator every time I open a specific file. Followed by the message "an error occured following the appeance of an object" I've tried resetting the preferences and still get the error messages. I've tried to reduce the artboard size and then Illustrator won't let me resize my artwork to fit within the artboard. I'm on an iMac, apple M1 Ventura 13.5.2. Thanks for any help. Jeanne
Thank you for your reply! I tried all of that to no avail. I recreated the file and all is well. Thanks!

Had the same problem so I saved as new file deleting each layer one by one until I found the layer causing the error. It was a process of elimination. Once I found the layer throwing the error I examined the problem which with me and Illustrator always has to do with my designing outside of what Illustrator expects me to do which is create many objects instead of working primarily in repeated vector shapes. So I grouped my objects and rastersized the group with a trans background and no more error.

I am having the same issue. I have tried everything. Even spent 2 hours on the phone with Adobe support. They told me to go back a few versions of Illustrator for now.... what?! I did that and now Illustrator crashes and says I need to update. Help!
