When I choose the opertion unlock all layers every layers are unlocked.
But if I just want to unlock a specific layer , like the one marked in the image.
If I choose all layers all others will be unlocked too.
I haven´t figured out how to do this with one layer.
best regards

Just click on the lock in the layers panel to unlock just that layer.

Thanks Monika,
But I want to unlock all layers that are inside that layer. There are several.
Could you do that and not need to open the layer up?

That works if the objects inside the layer are not locked individually, but only via the layer.

Try holding down your option key (or alt key if on windows) and click and drag across the sub layers you want to unlock.

Hi,
Thanks for all help.
I found out that if you alt + click on the lock symbol in the layer.
And shift+ click lock the layer.
But it doesn not seem to go down all the layers to the bottom.
A bit tricky to know what works best.

In case I understand your request, unlocking the parent layer in the Layers palette followed by using the Unlock all command in the Object menu should do it.
