update 24.0.3 and adobe's hubris
.
so this morning, i launched illustrator.
right away, it shows me dark theme and really obnoxious big text on all interface.
i. did. not. set. these. preferences.
why the fricking h*ll did adobe think it was a good idea to nuke my preference file (which included a lot of things i set up for my needs -- thus the term "preferences"), and impose its own settings for this update?
did adobe think that i don't know my own needs as to how i interact with its app? that it would decide for me, imposing -- without asking -- its "default" settings? believe it or not, not everyone cares for the dark theme just because every software developer has jumped on the bandwagon -- so don't pull these "we're apple: we-know-best" crap.
but that's the least of my anger; adobe's default deleted all the other useful preferences i took time to set up. i don't need adobe to make this decision for me. this is a pervasive move across all the adobe apps.
just. stop.
this was truly an obnoxious decision by whoever on the adobe team.
