Veikk A30 pressure problems in Adobe Illustrator CC

Hi.

I have a Veikk A30 drawing tablet, and I can`t get the pressure functionality to work in Adobe Illustrator 2019 (23.0.3)  (when I go into brush settings the pressure option is disabled), the drawing tablet works as expected in Photoshop CC 2019 (20.0.4). The weird thing is that I managed to make it work once, by going into to the Veikk tablet system preferences, and change the mode from pen to mouse, but I have not managed to recreate this workaround, after a restart of the computer, it did not work anymore, and changing the setting does nothing any more, and having the tablet in mouse mode comes with its own problems.

The Veikk support is sadly lacking, maybe because of the language barrier.

I am running Illustrator on a MacBook Pro 15" touchbar 2018 model running Mac OS X Mojave 10.14.2

I have added the TabletDriverCenter and Adobe Illustrator to the "Allow the apps below to control your computer" list in the Security and Privacy settings in system preferences.

Any tips, fixes or workarounds for this issue is highly appreciated.

You need to complain to the company that its driver doesn't support Illustrator. Otherwise nothing will ever change.

Apart from that, you can try and install a Wacom driver ontop of the original driver. Choose a driver of a comparable model.

Important: this is a hack. It might or might nor work. It has worked for most people who have had the same issue with other manufacturers. I have never seen this specific tablet manufacturer mentioned in this forum. So I really don't know what will happen.

Please keep us updated.

Have you read this FAQ from Veikk - it is specifically for pressure sensitivity issues in Mojave.

Thanks, I have followed the steps in the FAQ, it did not resolve the issue.

EDIT: The fix worked for photoshop but not for illustrator.

Thanks, I have already mailed the manufacturer of the tablet, back and forth with no progress on this issue. I will try to install the Wacom and see what happens. I am open for hacks and workarounds at this point.
