I am pretty sure the question was asked at least once before. However, it may have happened once again. Today I received 4 software updates in CC. Not real sure if there were any updates since the Version number does not show a change.
Does anyone know if Adobe uses Semantic or some type of version sequence for the updates? The assumption based on the version number for LrC 15.0.1 they are using (SemVer). The updates are a little annoying since the user has to guess there was a change and what changed.
Thanks

When that happens, it's usually the Creative Cloud app itself is updating in the background. The individual apps aren't updated.

Hi @westdr1dw,
I know it can be confusing when updates show up. Sorry for the trouble and the delay in getting back to you. In the Creative Cloud Desktop app, both the Creative Cloud and the installed apps can update automatically based on your settings. You can review this by clicking the profile icon at the top right, opening Preferences, then checking General for Creative Cloud updates and Apps to manage automatic updates for each installed app. If auto updates are on, any new version will be installed as soon as it becomes available.
After an update, you can verify what changed by going to the Apps section on the left side, then selecting Installed apps on the right and choosing View updates. This will show which apps have recently updated, the version they are now on and if there are any updates still pending. For reference: Update Creative Cloud apps automatically
Please let me know if this helps clarify what you are seeing or if something still seems off. I am happy to assist further.
Abhishek

Thank you Abhishek Rao.
However, this is not the question. The question is regarding versioning. I could be wrong, however, I believe these updates are showing up with the same version number during the pushing out upates to users at various times. Some get updates almost immediately. Where others has to wait to receive the same update. I had a problem with Creative Cloud. Adobe was unaware of the update and attempted to resolve an issue which was not an issue just an order of precedence in who receives the update and when. I may be incorrect in thinking the user can bypass the update they already received. I think we still have to go through the download update process in order to clear the updaye from the Updates folder. This is only a guess at how these keep appearing when the user already has the update. What would be really helpful is if Adobe could publish release notes when sending out updates. Some of their apps provide this others is very minimal. Thanks again.
