Question

Viewing illustrator files while using chrome remote desktop/Windows 11

I'm not able to see files on adobe illustrator when I connect remotely using google chrome. When I load exciting ai files or create a new file, the window opens (tools are visible and name of file is listed as a tab on the top) but the window is black. I recently updated the remote computer's operating system to windows 11, and had no problems before that, so I suspect it has something to do with the system settings. Anyone know a fix?

Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem. I solved the problem by changing it to "View using CPU" under the View menu. Hope it works!

Hi @Thomas3157849636io,

We are sorry to hear about this. Please clarify if you are able to see and interact with the menu and tools in Adobe Illustrator when accessed through Chrome Remote Desktop? Alternatively, is the entire UI blank or black?

If you are experiencing issues with a completely black UI, there is an ongoing bug related to this problem that the Adobe Illustrator team is actively investigating.

As a temporary workaround, you may consider installing Adobe Illustrator version 27.9 until the issue is resolved. You can find older versions through the Creative Cloud app.

Your feedback and additional details about your experience will be helpful in understanding the specific nature of the problem.

Best,
