Question

Viewport "jumps" when I place objects near the edge

Attached is a video that shows several moments when I drag a shape near the edge of the viewport, and it jumps. Resulting in me placing the object in the wrong location.

 

How do I turn this off?

Could you try running Illustrator after rebooting your computer in Safe Mode (https://adobe.ly/43vAEBC) and checking if it helps?

If the problem persists, kindly share more details, like the version of Illustrator installed, and the system report (https://adobe.ly/3DTMzyL), so I can investigate further.

I should add: turns out it doesn't have to be near the edge. The "jump" can happen no matter where I'm dragging in the viewport.
