Way to create Scatter brush with fade?

Is there a way to create a scatter brush that has fade properties for Spacing and Size?

I want to create almost a gradiant of Hexagons that start bigger/thicker on the left, becoming broken up with increasingly smaller hexagons to the right. Almost like it's desintagrating.

Any thoughts and feedback is deeply appreciated.

Many ways to do this, one could be using a symbol then spray it, shift, screened, etc.

Can you show an example that roughly illustrates the look you are trying to create?

Also, which version of Illustrator are you using?

That is an amazing tool!!! Im still fairly new to Ai, so I haven't taken the opportunity to try out the different tools. And. . . I tend to be very linear with my thinking, stuck on one approach and not trying other things. Thank you for your tremendous help and patience 🙂

I admit though that I am still curious about my original inqury, but this do exactly what I need, even better.
