We've hit a roadblock! There isn't enough memory... - Illustrator Version 27.9

I continue to get the subject mentioned error.  I have looked at several Adobe articles pointing to a 'fix', but the issue still occurs.  This is what I have tried.

1. Ensure program is up to date.

2. Reset Preferences.

3. Choose a Plug-ins & Scratch Disk with enough space.

4. My laptop is well above specifications.

What else?
