We've hit a roadblock! There isn't enough memory... - Illustrator Version 27.9

I continue to get the subject mentioned error.  I have looked at several Adobe articles pointing to a 'fix', but the issue still occurs.  This is what I have tried.

1. Ensure program is up to date.

2. Reset Preferences.

3. Choose a Plug-ins & Scratch Disk with enough space.

4. My laptop is well above specifications.

What else?

What are you trying to accomplish when you get this error message?

Trying to use the 'Classic' extrude/bevel feature.

There was a similar problem within the last couple of days. @MonikaGause had some thoughts on the subject.

16 GB of RAM is less than you think it is. It's the recommended minimum amount, which might not be sufficient for some 3D artworks (the complex ones, mostly)
