What **** did Adobe do to the Illustrator pen tool? Why remove add or subtract point?

Hello Adobe. Why on earth did you remove the add or substract points pen tool options? The longstanding keyboard controls for add or substract the pen tool are not working either. The tool is unusable without these controls.

Are you using the basic toolbar by any chance (Window > Toolbars)?

Hi. You can decide which tool to show and which to hide. The easy way is select the Basic or Advance toolbar as Doug said or customize them Window > Toolbars > Manage Toolbars.
