I set up my document with rgb mode. However, when i change the color mode in color panel, rgb to cmyk, what happens to my document?

If you work in an RGB document and you change the color mode in the Color Panel to CMYK, your document will still be RGB.

You just will limit your colors to what's possible in CMYK color space, but that is only to select colors, they will be converted to the closest  RGB color.

If you choose File > Document Color Mode and change from RGB to CMYK, all your colors will be converted to the closest CMYK color and you may check the things that Monika mentioned.

    Hi Monika, Ton, Omar

    Thanks for your help!

Can you help me where and what to study about color modes?

Also, if I set up my document with cmyk, then is it the color i’m looking via display is the same with the printed one?

    Thanks a lot!

When you choose color from anywhere if this color isn't exist in the CMYK it will be automatically converted to the alternative cmyk color that is when you are using the CMYK mode.

    Hi Monika, Ton &  Seunghoonl,

I know that most users prefer using the CMYK color sliders from the color panel even they are working on RGB mode.
When you are in the RGB mode and choose a color from the CMYK colors it automatically converted to the alternative color in the RGB mode if it doesn't exist in the RGB mode. don't worry most of us used to use the CMYK color sliders .
I'm trying to make my students use the HSB slider when they are in the RGB mode.

That depends on what's in it.

Colors willbe more dull. Maybe everything you've designed can't be printed in the colors you used.

You will have to check all the blacks in your design.

Blend modes might mess everything up.
