What is this small pink box and how do I remove it?

The pink box on the lower right part of the image, it's part of some frame but it's still there even if the frame is not shown.

"Delete" was greyed out, but accessing object > slice a few times already deleted it.

This happened to me on the right hand side of a text box, I got rid of it by deleting the invisible blank space after my typed test. So, put the cursor behind the last letter, and keep deleting.

If there is a Plus icon in your box, then it shows you that there is overset text that you indeed have to delete. Or make the text box bigger
