When I click on an object, the app freezes and wherever my mouse was the object will move to it

Like I said in the title, every single time I click on an object, the app freezes for a second or two and then moves the object to wherever the mouse was.

Its rendered the app unusable, every little thing takes me 3x as long to do it because of this.

Working on Illustrator 2024 28.0

im on Ventura 13.6

I've tried the following:

- Rebooting the system
- Reinstalling Illustrator
- Downgrading Illustrator
- Resetting prefs

Other adobe software seems to be working perfectly, it seems to just be Illustrator

Does this also happen when you boot into Safe mode?

Participating Frequently

Sounds like you might be running Magnet in the background, or a similar program that is accessing your screen. To find out, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. Toggle the switch on each of the apps one at a time as you test the peformance in Adobe.

Using your computer in safe mode is surely not a long term solution.
