When placing the logo, it comes across pixelated

I work for sign compoany and when placing this logo on an awning and emailing to client, it comes across too pixelated. Is there any way of fixing it? Is it the PNG format?

Since a PNG is a raster format it will always become pixelated if enlarged to any degree from its original size. Anytime you need something as large as you describe it is always advised to keep the file as vector line art and export it as either Illustrator's native format (.ai) or as a pdf. If your design uses any transparency then make sure the pdf is saved with the Standard of PDF/X-4 which supports transparency in a vector file.

Appreciate everyone's quick turnaround. I have tried all techniques and while everything looks great, the only issue I am having now is when set up on our template, and getting ready for email, it still comes across pixelated no matter the format saved. No matter the format saved, I still have to have the logo transparent so maybe that could be the issue?

How are you placing it on the awning, and what happens if you just view/print/send the artwork as PDF or a large PNG, and which image size have you given the PNG?

Looks like everything worked out. I was able to send it over. Just an issue with the set up for previewing the email and not sending the actual email. Appreciate the help and I'm sure I'll be jumping back in here as I am still taking my baby steps with all of Adobe.

In addition to what S, Ton, and Bill, said, it is worth ensuring that the client establishes the options in full.

If it is really necessary, or the client insists, it is a matter of choosing a sufficient image size/resolution for the size and use, the latter especially with regard to viewing distance. What counts is the the actual total size of the image in pixels x pixels because that will determine the fineness/actual pixel size at the actual size.
