I downloaded a tutorial image file for the practice lesson. when i begin the new lesson, the file does not automatically load and i am unsure where to find it?

Hello Monika,

I am following along using the Create 3D graphics in illustrator tutorial. I uploaded the PDF file provided and when using "3D Materials" it covers the entire area - including the text. what am i doing incorrectly causing the material to not simply cover the text that was traced?

When you use the file I attached, please do the following: first change the file extension to .ai. Then just open the file  in your Illustrator version.

Are you referring to the files in the Learn panel?

Can you post which tutorial it was?

HI Monika, I am referring to the Help details under Create 3D graphics in Illustrator

Under "Create a Vector Art" above the Flora Image, their is a link to Download Sample File. I then proceed to download.

i open a blank sheet in the AI app and go to "File" then "Place" and I cannot find the location where the file was downloaded. reference screenshot of what I am trying to explain.

Thank you, I can't download it either. I have reported the missing link, but that doesn't help you now of course.

I think I remember this article, it's quite old and I think it has been migrated from an Adobe blog. So that's where the link might have gone lost.

Which part of it are you interested in? If it's the script lettering, I would just take a screenshot and then use the pencil tool to draw it.
