Where are saved swatches in Mac?

I actually saved a few sets of colors both in case and ai format but in any case they weren't found in the preset folder! And also when I updated to the latest Ai version, I lost my previous swatches too! The user-defined option was greyed out. Can someone enlighten me, please? Much appreciated
