White Border around label

Community Beginner ,

I have created a brand new label with dimensions of 2.5" by 2.5". When I go into the print settings the document and media are both labeled as 2.5x2.5, yet when I print the label it has a white border on the left and right edge. It is not a soft border, it is a hard white line. I am using an Epson TM-C7500G. The labels are on a large roll and are separated by a gap, not a black mark (not sure if this is useful info or not). I have posted about a similar issue before but that was more of a soft white line, I never figured out that issue either but I thought I would try again on this one. It is a real pain and I have tried everything that I know to do. I am not a pro at this software and I am out of ideas on how to fix it. I thought about making the media a little larger than the label to see if that would help as that is the only other thing I could think of that may be helpful.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You would need to solve this with bleed. So the label is printed larger and then cut out of that.

No printer works exact.

In addition to incorporating bleed for the edges of the label, there should be some "breathing room" between the artwork and the edge of label. If elements like lettering are running too close the edges of the label parts of them might end up getting clipped.

So, for example, would it be helpful to create the label at say 2.6x2.6 and basically stretch the background to fill that area, and put the important content in the 2.5x2.5 area? I had thought about trying that but wasnt sure if it would work or not. I have taught myself what I know about this software, and that isnt a whole lot. I appreciate your input.

The area of the important content needs to be even smaller.

Usually you have 3 mm of bleed and should keep the same distance from the inside. Don't know how that amount transfers to inches. And it also depends on the precision your printer can achieve.
