Hi people,
I have a questions about cymk colors, such as white and white shades (e.g. 0,0,0,14).
If I make an art in Illustrator with process colors and export it into jpeg/png format, will my print be white/whitish or it will end up transparent?
I really don't get these things... What do you do when you work with white and white shades that are going to be printed on mugs, t-shirts etc...?

if you print with process colours, there is explicitly no white ink involved. 'white' areas just mean exposing the substrate (printing surface).
if you want to print with white, this will be a spot ink of sorts and you will need to discuss the specifics of this with your printer.

In JPEG there won't be any transparent areas.
And only areas defined as CMYK 0000 will not print.
An area colored in 14% K will most probably print. (it still depends on whether the printing process cuts off at certain small percentages, but 14% is not small enough)
In a PNG you can have transparent areas, but those will need to be transparent in the artwork. Also: Illustrator can only export RGB PNG, not CMYK.
If you want to print in white inks, ask the print service provider how you need to set them up - it depends on the process.
e.g. with direct print on t-shirt it might work like this: white areas are white (RGB255/255/255), areas that should not print are transparent (don't contain color) and the file format is PNG.
But please ask your service provider for specifications.
