White lines appear in print/PDF version of artwork

Community Beginner ,
May 11, 2017 May 11, 2017

I have made a business card for my toddler and I am trying to print the final design, but for some reason these white lines appear in the PDF and uploaded version !! I am a beginner by most accounts, so my settings are all the standard ones. I am just wondering how to export this and not have the white lines. When I am working on it, these lines to not appear.

Thanks !!

This is live paint, right?

In Illustrator it's a live object, so the lines do not show.

In a PDF this is expanded automatically so there are single parts and the lines do show because of anti-aliasing.

The bad part is: in some cases this also prints. Depending on the process.

To be sure, you might want to:

1. make a copy of the file, so you can come back later.

2. In the copy expand the live paint.

3. Then select the body and in the pathfinder panel click on "Merge".

I am having a similar issue, but I am not using Paint and my lines are blue and appear to be more random. See attached screenshot. This is really annoying! Any ideas on why this is happening?

This looks like there is a path that has a stroke.

And since you don't have the same issue, please create your own new thread.

Thanks for your reply. I will post the same question in another thread.

I have no idea what you mean by stroke and you have not provided me with any guidance on how to fix this issue.
