White lines in .eps file only when in powerpoint?

Hello,

I am trying to import a figure from adobe illustrator into powerpoint. I have tried the following:

1. exporting as an eps and placing the figure into powerpoint. the resolution is maintained, but then I get these white lines in the figure:

'

2. then I tried to export the figure to a pdf, which works, and there are no lines. however, when I close the powerpoint and reopen the image, then the image is blurry:

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix either issue? I really only need one to work!

Thanks a ton!

How did you build this linework? Using live paint? In that case expand it and apply the Pathfinder Merge

I made this figure using the rectangle tool. I tried the pathfinder merge but that doesn't work -- it either deletes some of the rectangles or says it didn't merge anything -- I've attached an example of the figure. thanks a ton!

are all still live strokes. What you could do: Outline the strokes and then select all and use the pathfinder Merge

I have tried exporting both images as high resolution, and have adjusted the image resolution of the image in powerpoint to high fidelity.
