White square when using outer glow

New Here ,
Apr 23, 2024 Apr 23, 2024

Hi,

I am trying to apply outer glow to some shapes, but when I do this, I get a white square around the outer glow.

Before adding effect:

After adding effect:

Can anyone help me solve this?

Thanks

Ben

Can you check if your Effect > Document Raster Effects Settings > Background is set to white?

Are there more effects applied to that object?

When checking my answer I had turn them off and on to make the white appear/disappear.

Are you perhaps in CPU preview mode?

Can you please select that object and show the appearance panel?
