Why do I need to disable the control top bar to export as

Why do I need to disable the control top bar to export as > every time, if I need to export my work I have to select all artboard with the selection tool

Looks like this problem:https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/48119207-preview-in-png-export-options-panel-doesn-t-workI have the same problem, but never tried to disable the control bar. That seems to activate the preview when something is selected.As a workaround use Export for screens.

Do you reboot regularly?ALso: is it just the preview that is missing or does it also not get exported?
