Hi,

I have a document with a few different text boxes in and when not in use some of the text boxes show a '+' sign inside a square box, but other text boxes don't (image attached below).

What causes this and how can I turns this off?

Many thanks

Is there perhaps a series of returns after the text that carries it (invisibly) outside the text box? Go to Type menu > Show Hidden Characters with the text box lengthened.

When the amount of text exceeds the size of the text box you'll see the plus mark. Increase the box size and it should disappear.

Hi Ed - there isn't any other text in the box apart from what shows. I've even made the text boxes bigger and it still shows?
