Why does "Transform" panel open when drawing a rectangle (CC 2018)?

I've only recently noticed this: When I draw a "Rectangle" (or create any object with a "Shape" tool) the "Transform" panel pops up. I have it hidden by default and do not need/want it to pop up. How do I stop this from happening? I feel like Adobe has decided I suddenly need help using their program after 30 years.

There is a history for this. People complained that when you create a shape and than want to see the properties you needed to open the Transform Panel.

Than the AI Team came up with : when ever you drewshapes the transform panel opened.

Well, people  complained again. and this is why you have the option :  to turn it on or off in the Transform panel:

Check out the preferences they have  an option to turn on or off the rubber band for pen and curvature tool. and turn on or off the immediate fill new text with place holder. (same reason...people wanted it than ..wanted the option to disable or enable..)

Thanks, Ton. I guess I do need help using AI.   Would not have looked there.
