I have tried unsuccessfully to change the color on this file. I have managed to change all the other letters however the red "O" does not pick up when I tried to change it.

The red O isolated

The original

The half finshed one.

I'm wanting to change the "o" to black and on another version to a white with the other letters black.

Any help is much appreciated.

The 'O' is not a path as the other letters are. You can use image trace to convert it to a path and make it any color you wish. I've done that and saved the changes. Take a look and let me know if you can now edit it as you wish.

Select the O > go to image trace > select B&W > expand > release mask > delete solid color rectangle

So happy.

Just a quick question - is there an easy way of making the small "o" inside of the large "o" transparent.

I think Ill be enrolling in an illustrator course very soon.

Great! Glad this was helpful. The center of the 'O' is transparent. Go to View > Show Transparency Grid.

To make the small 'O' transparent, use the exclude pathfinder tool.

With the direct selection tool drag and select both big and little 'O' > Go to Window > Pathfinder > Exclude
