Why is it still snapping?!!

Hi everybody,

Going out of my mind here. I went to View > etc. Turned off all the snapping options. Went into perspective grid nothing is snapping there but that dang thing keeps popping back and forth over the spot where I want the bezier point.

What is this madness? Why won't Illustrator just be fluid? Has anybody run into this know the answer to make point just drag without sticking to stuff?

Any suggestions most appreciated.

Perspective grid has its own snapping option. Did you turn it off as well?

View > Perspective grid > Snap to perspective

yup, sure did. Like I try to drag to a line and it pops back and forth over it but won't connect. I had to select snap to glyphs jut to get the dang thing connected.

It's whack. I have turned off every snapping switch available in the view column and it won't just glide. ??

You may choose to have objects snap to points anywhere within 1 to 8 pixels of anchor points.
  1. Click "Edit" in the top menu, go to "Preferences" and select "Selection & Anchor Display."
  2. Check "Snap to Point" in the Selection section.

Try and uncheck "Highlight anchors on mouse over" in that preference pane in Nicktendo's post. That options causes snapping as well.
