Why isn't the perspective slider functioning in the 3D and Materials panel?

In my 3D and materials panel the perspective slider doesn't work. It isn't grayed out but the slider won't move and I can't input a number into the box on the right either. Does anyone know why that might be the case?

    It's working now. I had restarted the program and my macbook but it was still frozen. However, for some reason, after I clicked through the other panels (materials and lighting) and came back to "object" it started working. It must just be a weird glitch.

    just resized the 3d pannel and it started working

      Just had the same thing happen to me. Completely unresponsive until I clicked on the other 3D tabs. So weird. Thanks for the tip.
