Why would relinking a placed raster image cause the image to change position?

Exactly what changes? Please post more specifc information.

 

One reason could be the placement options that are not commonly used, but might have been applied.

I'm not sure how much more specific I can be than "change position"... I update a placed raster image and the image moves from the position on the page where it was to another position where it was not.

Just a remark: 95% of people answering questions here are volunteers. We are doing this in our spare time. So does it just change by 2 pixels or is it wildly different? Any observations can help us help you.


The shift is significant, on the X & Y axis, maybe 15% of the width of the graphic.
