Working problems with PDF in Illustrator

Hello everyone. Im working on the poster which I did handmade and scanned to PDF. I'd like to cut and move some of designs, but can't find a solution. Could you please advice me how to do that, working on PDF image where i dont have my designs as objects? Thank you!

If you scanned to PDF, then your PDF has only pixels.

You can either edit it in Photoshop or vectorize it first and then edit in Illustrator.

Hi @Roman Kozak 

As you mentioned, you have an (scanned, pixel based) IMAGE and no objects.
IMO the easiest way is to use Photoshop (Selections – then Cut and/ore Move).

 

To get the basic concept of Illustrator and vector based designs i suggest to take a beginners class or check some tutorials. The feature you might need is this: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/image-trace.html

If you only want to move things around in Illustrator (not sure exactly what it is you are using Illustrator for), it might be best if you scan each object separately. That way you could bring them in separately and move them around individually. Or use Photoshop and select and move around. What exactly are you trying to achieve in Illustrator?
