Adding Watermark / Copyright Mark to Ilustrator Artboards

Hi,

Newbie here. I want to add a copyright or watermark to my AI artboard work before saving to .PNG file format. I don't see a menu item to add the mark to my work. What are the steps I should follow? Thanks!

      There isn't a watermark command in AI. You'll need to add the text and format it.

      Knowing you are brand new, here's a tutorial to let you see one approach. It's for CS4, but will work in the current versions as well:
