Hi

I'am trying to make pearls on a string in adobe illustrator but so far I have'nt been successful.

The first thing that I did was to create a curve consisting of multiple segments with the curvature pen tool.

Then I made two circles of equally size in the same horizon given some distance in between.

The I selected both circles by using the selection tool and then I pressed object and then blend and then create after which a number of circles appeared in between the two of them.

There after I use the selection tool to mark the circles and the curve which I initially made using the curvature pen tool and then pressed object and then blend and then replace spine.

Afterwards I marked the curve, now consisting of circles following the curve shape, with the selection tool.

Then I pressed object and then path and then simplify and then choose pathprecision 100 % and turning threshold 180 degrees.

Then all the circles are aligned perfectly along the curve.

BUT HOW TO GET THEM ALL ATTACHED TO EACHOTHER THROUGH A STRING(THE ORIGINAL CURVE) I DONT KNOW.

Please help

Make a duplicate of the path, apply a stroke and put it behind the pearls.

When you are talking about duplicating the path do you then mean just copy the path?

And how do I put it exactly behind the pearls. Should I use layers or what?

Select the path (the blend spine) using the group selection tool.

    Copy

    deselect object

    Paste in back

Please read about the stacking order.
