AIRobin error message

Running curent version of Adobe Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1). OS Mojave 10.14.6

The error message reads "the document could not be opened. AIRobin cannot open files in the "Adobe Illustrator document" format." This occurs when I attemp to launch the file by double-clicking or from Bridge.

As a work around, I access the file by launching AI, choosing file > open and navigating to the file.

Open preferences and go to the file type associations - reassign all the extensions set to AiRobin to open in illustrator and it should work. Same thing happened to me and this seemed to fix it. Not sure what AiRobin is, could have been an update that changed my settings.

This bug continues to occur with every update of Bridge. AI files default to opening with SI Sniffer.

Same issue. The previous solve in Bridges preferences no longer works either. Way to go Adobe!

I am just beginning to have this problem after latest Adobe updates. I have changed all file association from AiRobin to Illustrator and still files will not open from Bridge. When trying to open from Bridge, it even says Illustrator is the default.

I had the same problem.. I couldn't find this unkown program (AIRobin) to remove it.  I ended up uninstalling Illustrator and AIRobin disapeared from Bridge.  I then reinstalled Illustrator and it worked as normal agian.

Hello,

What program did you change the preferences on? This is happening with mine too.

We have the same problem here. Honestly, Adobe products are getting worse with every update 😞
