I have the same problem starting to day !
It's just a very quick and practical shortcut to exit a group of objects. I didn't do anything special, it just stopped working I don't why...

Alright, alright, alright... I'm happy to say that after a rebot of Illustrator, it worked again... Sorry to bother everybody before trying that easy solution...

Nice to hear that the solution offered in one of the other threads worked.

But, please do not open multiple threads or write in different threads for same or similar questions.

I will merge this thread with your other one.

I'm using Illustrator v.25.0.1 and I have a bug. Sounds like an AAA meeting. 🙂

My ESC and Arrow keys no longer work. I can no longer exit isolation mode - I have to double-click outside - and I can no longer move inside a text box or move an object - I have to click-right to exit. This is really really annoying !

It worked fine till a few hours ago and I haven't done anything special.

Do you mean to exit Isolation mode?

What Illustrator version are you using?

Are you sure you are still in Isolation Mode? Check your layers panel.

There is a bug in version 25 that may result in layers locked/opacity changes when using Undo after exiting Isolation Mode.
