So I just made this mini animation on Illustrator on my new macbook and cannot seem to open my swf file. I double checked all the settings when I exported the file. When I try to open my file, it says "There is no application set to open the document. Search the App Store for an application that can open this document, or choose an existing application on your computer." I tried downloading Adobe flash player but it didnt do anything. Please help

Correct answer Test Screen Name

SWF is obsolete. There has been 3 years warning that Flash Player is closing down very soon. Even before, SWF files were not for opening, they were for use on web sites.

So is there something else that I can do to open a swf file?

If you don't know how to work with an SWF file, given that they are going away and it is being made really hard to use them, I suggest you give up on them. Instead, please tell us what you want to achieve, and perhaops we can help you make a better choice.

Hi, sallyishizawa.

Recently, Flash is hated.

Drag your SWF file into the web browser window.
In my case, since the plugin is enabled, it looks like the GIF movie below.
