change side of tick marks in charts

hey,

looked this up but i could not find a post with the answer.

when making graphs in illustrator, the tick marks point to the inside of the chart. how do you change them to point to the outside. like on this image below. i alway use the direct selection tool and move them manually..

Manual movement is the only available option. Illustrator graphs were introduced in, I believe, Illustrator 3 and haven't been developed beyond what they were then.
