Continue working on your projects while Illustrator works on saving/exporting your document in the background. You are informed when the processes are complete. You can always check the progress of the save or file operation midway using the Progress button.
Note: Background save and export is supported for AI, PNG, and JPEG files only.

When the AI robin is running it means Illustrator+AIRobin is using almost twice as much memory and filling my system data, meaning I can't run more than two adobe applications at once, can I redirect where the AIRobin is using the memory onto external harddrive (as you can with scratchdisks), how do I resove this please?

When both options are turned OFF in the settings, why is AIRobin still running and eating away wasted RAM??
What also weird, when i turn off background saving, i dont see any saving dialog. Which is also an issue
Even worse, when i force quite it, it magically starts itself again. Talk about invasive apps

I renamed airobin.exe > airobin.exe.old (was in: Program Files/Adobe Illustrator/Support Files/Content/Windows)
Start AI, it show a warning error > OK > and it starts normally

So it runs properly without it?
I find it strange, when background save is off, they still run it
