Corrupt Font Cache Windows 10 causes distorted outlined fonts

I thought the whole point of outlining a font was to take the "font" out of it and turn it into an editable object?

Yet I open my established logo file that has been outlined for quite some time and see distortion on the edges. I check other fonts with the same result and after some searching find a way to easily delete and restore the font cache which fixes the issue.

Based on this apparent tie between the actual font and the outlined font, if I deleted the font, would the logo disappear? Or take Comic Sans and spoof it as the name of the font I am using and have my logo suddenly change?

Seems like a very strange connection either way. It's not a font anymore, it should not matter.

Hi kbellamyUI,

If I get your query correctly, Some font on your artwork has been outlined and you want to edit using the same font?

If that is the scenario you may remove or erase the outlined text and add new text using the same font.

Once the font on artwork is outlined its like a picture which can be erased but not edited as font.

Hello,

After you remove the font, will this removed font style be the new default font when ready to add new text?

And this question is a little off topic from the first one, but relative to my outline issue
