Selection Tool.JPGHI.  I have had several issues with Illustrator recently.  It's getting more frustrating by the day!  I cannot use the direct selection tool.  I have gone into preferences/selection&anchor display and chosen object selection by path only (which was advised on the forum) and it did nothing.

I have shut down Illustrator, and my computer, and it still does this.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Julie

Awesome Jacob!!  Thanks so much.  That was the problem.  I've never had this issue before and I was at a loss.  I REALLY appreciate your swift response!

Cheers,

Julie

You are welcome, Julie.

Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+B is one of the easy mishits; Ctrl/Cmd+H (View>Show/Hide Edges) is even easier, with other shortcuts closing in on all sides.
