Dual core 2.6Ghz or quad core for illustrator

Hello,
i would like to know if Illustrator and Photoshop is working with no problem with an dual core 2.6ghz or a Quad core is needed ? as well for Photoshop if somebody now !

HI Cyril,

Keep in mind if plan on running older software such as CS 5.1, do not upgrade your OS past the system requirements link if you want CS5 to function properly. So many people update their OS with every free update and while that may work on the remnants of code that is compatible, eventually your CS5.1 will stop working and you will wish you did risk upgrading your OS.

If you see the link shared above for the system requirements for Illustrator CS5, you would notice that it is an old product from Pentium 4 generation. If that is considered, dual core with 2.6 GHz should be fine enough with other requirements getting fulfilled. Hope that helps.
