Elephant Distort pattern white lines

Contributor ,

Hi

I have created a pattern for printing on a watering can. This pattern is a set size so that it is continuos when printed around all the way around the can. Also being a curved watering can the design is curved so I need to warp the design to fit the cutterguide.

I have created a design and used the Elephant Distort tool to warp it to fit the cutterguide, but I get white lines on the pattern joins, on the illustrator files, plkus when I try to export it to either PDF, TIFF or Photoshop files.

Any advice on how to get this to work?

Thanks
Mark

Do you mean »Envelope Distort«?

If so what is the Fidelity setting (Object > Envelope Distort > Envelope Options)?

LOL. Yes I did mean Envelpoe Distort.

Never used Fidelity. Not sure what it does but given it a try.

Well it does make some sort of change but not getting rid of the lines.

Yes I did try Fidelity.

It didn't help.

I have tried exporting it as a Art Optimized TIF now and it works more or less. I just need to do a bit of re-touching in Photoshop.
