Hello All,
When creating a gradient in Illustrator I often use the color picker as seen below (Screenshot 1 Letter E)
I find this very hard to use
Are there any alternative color picker styles to choose from?
The color picker style that you get in in Photoshop would be much easier to use (See 2nd screenshot)
thanks!
In the bottom center of the Color palette, you can pull it down to expand the view of the color spectrum. Then click and hold to drag your eyedropper around to find a color you want. Then you can drag and drop that color to your gradient palette.

You can click on your gradient stop, then double-click on the fill/stroke colours in the toolbar to get that colour picker. It would be nice to have it accessible from the grad panel though.

If you're already using both Photoshop and Illustrator, you could select your color in Photoshop, add it to a CC Library, open the CC Library in Illustrator, and use the color there.

Hello Meganchi, maybe this is an old post. I´m not able to drag anything down form the color palette. Could it be you had an old version when you answered?
I need/want to edit color stops the same way I edit solid colors.
here is my gradient window
gradient palette
And this is my solid color selector.
Editing color stops with the first window is hard, I want the second window to edit them because I can easily go to more lighter version of the color.
Thanks,
Federico

"I´m not able to drag anything down form the color palette."
meganchi means you can drag the bottom of the colour palette to expand it, i.e.:
You can't get to the colour picker you want directly from the gradient panel. You can double-click on the fill in the toolbar to get it after selecting your gradient stop and set colours from there, but it won't show you your gradient stop's colour for some reason.
