Question

Hide a path in a display

I'm new in illustrator, and I have a simple question.

How can I hide a path (grey color) in a display?

If I copy the object and paste in photoshop, the grey path disappears.

The path shows in the right side in the picture.

Thanks,

Michael

If you were to draw a 1" square filled with black, then paste an exact white copy in front, you would see a hairline of black on your screen preview, but not when you print or export to a bitmapped format

View >> pixel preview will get rid of this, but then you preview of there items will look blocky. I  would not worry about that if you  indeed do not have a color leak.

I draw a square like you say, but the option of pixel preview will not get rid of the hairline black, it causes to be more thick.

Before pixel preview:

After pixel preview:

That looks like it is an issue in the construction of your objects.

Can you please post the outline view and a screenshot of the layers panel?

The layer should be open, so the contents are visible.

Also: do you need the frames of that filmstrip to be white or should they be invisible?

Outline view:

Layers panel:

The frames of that filmstrip should be invisible. Now the filmstrip is fill with white color,  If I delete the fill color in the filmstrip, the result of the grey outline is same.

Thanks,

Michael

You need to make the rightmost white fill silghtly larger so it overlaps the black on the right and then actually punch it out of the black flimstrip using the pathfinder panel.
