How to design a ribbon/banner?

i want to learn how to create a ribbon similar to below...no need to help with text just design the ribbon, video tutorial would be a great help. thanks

three shapes, drawn however you like. the ends of the curves have vertical handles for a smooth-appearing transition between foreground and background:

the middle shape in front of the rear two:

a gradient using a colour and a lighter shade. the front shape has a few stops, lighter approximately where it curves towards us and darker as it curves away. the back shapes only use two stops.:

Another option - start with the text in a bar, with your grandest in place. Use Envelope Distort with Warp to create the wave, and then add the back ribbon sections afterwards.
