How-to separate vector images for individual use

New Here ,
Jul 10, 2019 Jul 10, 2019

Hi everyone.  I am stumped.  I have been trying FOR DAYS to figure out how to split the images that come grouped together (such as the contact me icons).  Every comment and suggestion I have attempted has failed.  I have looked for layers to isolate, tried ungrouping, unlocking, cutting, slicing, cursing, asking nicely and so on.  I am very new to illustrator (still in my seven day trial) and cannot seem to figure this out. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Could you please tell us on the asset you where using? What is the id number?

Please post also screen shots of where you stay with your trials.

As this is more an Illustrator question I will transfer this to the Illustrator forum, but the friendly people there probably need more information on the structure of the file.

In the meantime you may look here: How to make selections in Illustrator .

Nb: I'm not sure that working on stock assets of unknown structure and features is the best to learn how to work in Illustrator.

Open the layers panel and open the layers in it by clicking on the little arrow.

What does it say?
