Hyperlink images in Illustrator

Is it possible to hyperlink an image in illustrator and export it as a JPEG with the working link?

Ah, okay. I need it to be a JPEG, GIF or PNG as I am going to send it in the body of an email.. I probably need to link the whole image in the email then.

Sorry, but no. You can add a hyperlink and save it to SVG:
